What it unlocks

  • Pinterest audits — Pin impressions, saves, clicks and pinning cadence.
  • Content Studio — Content Studio → Pinterest syncs your last 30 days of Pins, scores each description and its engagement, and suggests rewrites.
  • Pin publishing — from a Content Studio post's Distribution or Cross Posting tab, publish an image Pin (the post thumbnail) to your default board, linking back to the original. The confirm step and the connection card name that board.
  • Video Pins — pick Pinterest as a publisher on Video → New Video. The pipeline writes a Pin description (800 characters max), and on publish uploads the video to your default board with the video thumbnail as its cover. Videos must be 4 seconds to 5 minutes, MP4, MOV or M4V, and up to 2 GB.

Troubleshooting

Repins do not appear Audits and Content Studio only count Pins you created. Pins you saved from other people are excluded.

How is Pin engagement calculated? Saves plus Pin and outbound clicks, divided by impressions, all from the same analytics window (at most the last 90 days). Reactions and comments are shown but left out of the rate, because Pinterest only reports them as lifetime totals.

Some Pins have no engagement rate A Pin needs its own analytics request. Pins past the per-run cap, or whose analytics request fails, are left out of the audit and out of averages. Content Studio still lists them.

Which board do Pins go to? Pins go to the first board on your account when you connected. If you had no boards then, bluekona uses your first board at publish time. Create a board on Pinterest if publishing says none exists.

Pins look small or cropped Pinterest favours tall 2:3 images. Wide video thumbnails still publish but show smaller in the feed.

Disconnecting does not revoke access on Pinterest Pinterest has no revoke API. Remove the app from your Pinterest settings under Security and logins → Apps to revoke it there too.
